Goi Kopher’s ‘Komite’ is next net release on the young record label AUREON and gives continuity to the trend of well produced music that we’ve seen coming recently from the newly born imprint.
This time around the EP contains some more ‘progressive’ vibes delivered by the Madrid born but Canaries based DJ and producer Gojko, who has put together a mesmerising blend of sonic influences in his four-track ‘Komite’. The record begins with its title track which is a magnetic beat, filled with tribal minutiae and based on a really tight rhythm section, as well as the second track -the ‘Deepness’ version of the same one- which contains some stunningly captivating African vocals (I’ll be excused if I’m mistaken) and generally a more fluid and soft touch, with its smooth bass-line and the overlapping velvety harmonics. The third track, ‘It Fun’, quickly takes off with its percussive hysteria and its steely synth stabs, together with some convulsed bassy harmonised hits, making it a proper club banger. The more ominous and mysterious ‘Auditorium’ puts an end to this beautiful EP with its solid and substantial rhythmics, its fancy bells and a truly remarkable harmonic progression which gives to the track a marvellous dynamic depth. Goi Kopher’s ‘Komite EP’ is, all in all, a truly firm, tight record which at first listen would seem ‘horizontal’ in its entirety but in reality full of evolutions and sonic details. Always keep an eye on AUREON’s space for more refreshing, interesting and unusual sounds.
